Report: Foreign firms that quit Russia pay wages to 188,000 people

MOSCOW, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- The foreign companies that suspended their activities in Russia keep on paying salaries to at least 188,000 people, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing own analysis.

The newspaper reported that the real number of the companies that continue to pay their employees and of the employees receiving wages might be higher, because some of the firms, including Yum Brands and Coca Cola did not mention whether they continue paying Russan wages.

The companies that hired white collars are trying to relocate them, while the workers on the facilities may be dismissed, if the companies do not return, the newspaper reported.
